Care Led by Clinical Judgment, Not Just a Schedule
At Velora Home Care, we believe care feels best at home. It's where people are most comfortable, where routines stay familiar, and where dignity is easier to protect.
Tsitsi Prince, RN
Owner & Founder, Velora Home Care
Velora was founded and is led by Tsitsi Prince, RN, a registered nurse who started this company to bring real clinical oversight into everyday, non-medical home care: the kind of support that helps someone bathe safely, remember their medication, or simply not spend the day alone.
What "RN Led" Actually Means Here
- An RN conducts or oversees the in-home assessment.
- Care plans are designed around the individual, not a standard package.
- Care plans are reviewed periodically and adjusted as needs change.
- Caregivers are trained and oriented before they ever start with a client.
Locally Owned, Lincoln Based
Velora is not a franchise location of a national chain. It's owned and operated here in Lincoln, Nebraska, which means the people making decisions about your care are the same people who live in this community.
Carefully Screened. Trained. Ready to Care.
We understand the trust it takes to welcome someone into your home. That's why we carefully select caregivers who are compassionate, dependable, trustworthy, and committed to respectful, person-centered care.
Before providing care, every caregiver completes comprehensive background screening, reference and qualification verification, required health screening including TB screening, and employment eligibility verification. Velora is an E-Verify participating employer. Caregivers are also required to maintain current CPR and First Aid certification and meet our health and safety requirements.
Every caregiver completes orientation and competency-based training covering client safety, infection prevention and control, personal care, fall prevention, safe mobility and transfers, emergency procedures, confidentiality, documentation, recognizing and reporting changes in condition, and the prevention and reporting of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
Beyond qualifications, we look for caregivers who show compassion, patience, integrity, reliability, attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine kindness. We do our best to match each client with a caregiver who fits not just their care needs, but their personality, and whenever possible, you'll see the same familiar face at each visit.
As a nurse-led home care company, we believe exceptional care requires more than checking boxes. We select and prepare our caregivers with one question in mind: would we trust this person to care for someone we love? Because who provides your care matters.
Our Approach
No two people are the same, so we don't treat them that way. Some people need a few hours of help each week. Others need more consistent, hands-on support. Either way, we take the time to understand what matters to you before we build anything around it.
We listen. We communicate clearly. We show up when we say we will. And we treat the people in our care, and their families, with respect. Always.
